About Pony Tails Kennel

A Family-Owned Kennel in Woodbine, Maryland

Welcome to Pony Tails Kennel! We are a woman-owned, family-operated kennel located in beautiful Woodbine, Maryland. For over 20 years, our family has been dedicated to raising healthy, happy puppies and helping them find loving forever homes. What began as a passion for dogs has grown into a lifelong commitment to responsible breeding, quality care, and providing families with wonderful companions.

Commitment to Love and Care

Every puppy born at Pony Tails Kennel is raised in a family environment where they receive daily attention, socialization, and care. Our dogs enjoy spacious open fields to run and play, giving them the opportunity to grow in a healthy and active setting. From an early age, puppies are introduced to everyday household sights, sounds, and interactions to help them become confident, well-adjusted companions.

The health and well-being of our dogs is our highest priority. We work hard to ensure that every puppy receives appropriate veterinary care and starts life with the best possible foundation.

We focus on breeding for health, temperament, and quality so families can welcome a happy, healthy puppy into their home.

Our puppies receive:

Forever Angels

AUGUST 23, 2016

Many loyal [and returning!] customers and families of our pug puppies often request a specific mother or father for their puppies, and one of the most requested mother’s is Tag. Unfortunately, Tag passed away under our wonderful veterinarian’s care due to cancer early this morning. She was not only the best mother, but a wonderful dog. We called her our little black fat chick, and she would follow my mother [the owner of this kennel] Lisa around. You’d ask her where mom was and she would know. Tag was adorable, cute, with her tiny head and fat rolls down her back. One Boston Terrier, Angel, and her would always be so jealous over table scraps and attention, and it breaks my heart to hear us all have to say goodbye to her. She was the first mother pug at Pony Tails Kennel, and she will always be remembered. We hope you enjoy your wings up in doggy heaven, they do say that all dogs go to heaven. Rest in Peace my darling.

SATURDAY MARCH 3, 2018

In many of our end of year videos, Daisy can be seen. A charming, older Beagle, who is usually resting with other dogs in our home. Before the Christmas of 2005, I remember three Beagle puppies becoming apart of our family. These puppies arrived before my youngest sister did. They were named Ben, Mable, and Daisy, and their trio would become the start of what would be Pony Tails Kennel. We can attribute our success to them for being wonderful puppy parents, and overall wonderful dogs. Daisy was delightful. She was respectful and well -trained. I can remember her beagle, and later puggle puppies, toddling around the house and running up the hall. She and her puppies brought much joy into our lives. At the age of 13 years, we have to say goodbye to our wonderful companion. We knew the time was coming, she was getting old, but she never let that stop her. She stayed by my mother’s side up until her last moments. It is hard to say goodbye to her and we must attribute our beginnings to her. All dogs go to heaven. Somewhere, Daisy has her little angel wings.
